Land ‘ho, Mate! | ScallywagAthon TBR

Announcement videos: Here and Here

Map is from the announcement video~

Had one look at that map and made the fastest decision I ever made 😂

This is a pirate-inspired readathon made and hosted by booktubers @ Hardback Hoarder and @ Read All the Books !

It starts on the 5th November ( Yay to me being the tardiest potato ever ) and ends on Nov 11th, midnight to midnight, you know the drill xD

There’s also a Pirates of the Carribean Watch-along taking place the following week, but I ain’t got time for that 😂

I’ll be going along 2–>7–>B–>9

2: Parley ~ A Villain You Wanna Meet

I had to ask around to see if this one has a villain I’d like to meet. I’m already a good bit into it, and it turns out it does ! I’m loving it so much so far, the worldbuilding is top notch, and when I’m reading it I can almost see and hear everything. The characters and setting come right out of the page, and when it comes together it’s exhilirating 💙

7: Crow’s Nest ~ New Release You’ve Had Your Eye On

For this one I’m picking An Enchantment of Ravens by Margaret Rogerson because I’ve been super hyped on it since before it was released. The blurb gives me major ACOTAR vibes, and let’s not get started on how gorgeous the cover is. I just hope I can finish it this week while doing what makes me so dang busy every day 😂

B: But Why Is The Rum Gone ? ~ Part of a Series You Want to Finish

This one’s a reread; I plan on rereading the whole series beginning from the second book because I DNFed rereading the first, shhh then getting to what I still didn’t read, Empire of Storms and Tower of Dawn !

.

9: Clear the Deck ~ From Your Owned TBR

I’m SO excited to pick this up! I can already smell it as a next favorite, and I hope my gut feeling’s right !

*crosses fingers* I REALLY hope I can finish even 2 or 3 of these, I’m so busy I could sit down and cry on my TBR and all the blog hopping I’m behind on 😭

Time for your news ! Are you participating in any readathons? Have you read any of these books? If yes, what did you think ? If not, are they on your TBR? Feeling like a readalong with me?

  1. This sounds like a good time! And you’ve got a pretty awesome selection there! I have yet to read Warcross but I’ve heard mostly good things about it. And i’ve been seeing Enchantment of Ravens everywhere. I think I’ll be buying it soon. Love love love Crown of Midnight. Wasn’t a huge fan of the first book, but the second book was amazing. And after reading Simon vs. The Homo Sapiens Agenda, I’ll read anything by Becky Albertalli. Hope that one live up to/has lived up to your expectations! 😀

    1. It did ! Still procrastinating on writing its review 😂 you know how when your friends bring you a piece of juicy gossip and you’re eager to hear all about it, even if it doesn’t concern you ? (Or, at least, smol and nosy me) that’s the category of interesting I found The Upside of Unrequited. Super relatable to introverts, and super diverse ^3^
