Tome Topple Round 4 Wrap Up !

Tome Topple is a 2-week long readathon created by Thoughts on Tomes and co-hosted by a group of amazing booktubers ! You can learn more about it on the Goodreads Group !

This round was from August 4th to August 17th, and was my first time with this readathon. It was so much fun, the sprints were the best part 💙 I highly encourage you to join on the next Round, as there are also Reading Challenges and tome suggestions.

Basically, during the readathon, you summon all the bravery you can muster and attempt to topple as many tomes as you can off your TBR ! A tome is an individual work ( as in, not a bind-up. I thought individual meant standalone before, but no xD )

For this round, I managed to finish 3 tomes ! I’d say 80% of my reading was done under the motivation of those sprints xD So now we’ll count up the page total together 😀

Tome 1: A Court of Mist and Fury by Sarah J. Maas

Pages: 624

Rating: ★★★★☆

Notes: I expected to LOOOVE this book because pretty much everybody else did. It was really good, and I loved the ending most, and got a healthy amount of gasping and turning the pages fast, but I guess my expectations were way too high 😢

Tome 2: A Court of Wings and Ruin by Sarah J. Maas

(This is the Book Haiku I wrote on my Litsy btw)

Pages: 655

Rating: ★★★★★

Notes: Now THIS book, was SO MUCH more than ACOMAF. It was just the right amount of epic combat on a huge scale, gripping suspense, touching romance, and it was just beautiful. All of it, the characters, the plot, the ending. It ripped my heart out, chewed it, and put it back on.

Tome 3: Carry On by Rainbow Rowell

Pages: 517

Rating: ★★★★☆ (4.5 Stars)

Notes: This book was a mixture of cute, suspenseful, hopeful and meaningful. Although I loved the plot-twist and the action-packed finale, there are parts I thought unnecessary and ones in which the story dragged. But overall, if you like romance, you’d love the story more than I did. If you don’t, you’ll still love it, because I sure enjoyed it !

Page Total: 1796

Yaaaaaay 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉 !!!! That was sure a lot more than I thought I could read in 2 weeks 💙😂 Talk to me in the comments if you have any thoughts about this readathon, or the books mentioned!
